It would seem that during global warming surburbs of the Antarctic congelation will start to thaw and their area will be reduced. However glaciological processes occur not as simple as it might seem. Some American and Japanese experts bring arguments in favour of absolute another course of events in Antarctic, specifying that in the past the periods of global warming corresponded to the expansion of borders of the Antarctic glacier in comparison with present.
Research of ground deposits in three areas near the coast of Antarctica has shown, that ice shelf and ice tongues developed here most of all around 4-7 thousand years ago. At those times the temperature of air in global scales was on 1-2°С above, than now. Since then all three research regions underwent recession.
The statement about “drafting out” of the excurrent glaciers caused by global warming 7 thousand years ago, coincides with results of recent researches. They speak, that loss of deposits is connected with warming in the form of a snow as well: in process of growth of temperatures the atmosphere accumulates more water steams, and the snowfall above Antarctica amplifies, and it, in its turn, entails growth of excurrent glaciers.
Glaciologists do not deny a similar hypothesis, but consider the following: overall research along various coasts of Antarctica for the final confirmation of the hypothesis is a must. In order to apply awareness and prove everything above said – one should ten times check to be fully confident in the year 2007.

The analysis of data (2004-2007) shows, that during the last century our planet has warmed up on one degree above an average index. Under the assumption of scientists in the nearest 50 years the average temperature will rise on 3-5 degrees that will lead to heavy consequences both for the Earth and for people and fauna.
Global warming is a process of gradual increase in atmosphere mid-annual temperature of the Earth and the World ocean.
The change of climate on the Earth occurs both as a result of natural internal processes, and in reply to external influences, both anthropogenous and non- anthropogenous. Among the basic external influences - changes of the Earth orbit, solar activity, volcanic ejectamentas and a greenhouse effect (the consequence of greenhouse gases emission in an atmosphere).
Automobile exhausts, factory pipes and other sources of pollution created by mankind together throw out in an atmosphere about 22 billion tons of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases a year.
Despite of such horrifying figures of anthropogenous influence, the reason of rise in temperature on the Earth is a very disputable issue. And some scientists confirm that the data about global warming are unpersuasive and that the forecasts founded on the computer modeling in reality do not have anything in common.
Globalwarming awareness2007 calls upon to not just search engine optimizers to show how to compete by suing just “white seo methods” but also this is an attempt to urge people that global warming is the issue to investigate more and more and to prevent a possible world catastrophe.

Googlebombing is known to everyone who is involved in SEO. Practically, this is just a spam-version of massive linking to one or another domain with a particular keyword in the anchor-text. Nothing special, huh?
Well, it could be just like “recommendation” of one site by others, but it is just from the first glance. Google has learned how to differentiate quality web-sites from real scam that links to your web-site with tons of links.
A nice example of this google-bombing is the following: the official home page of George Bush was the first result on Google for the search term “miserable failure” for many months.
Just like a massive flash-mob!
At the moment official Google claims that it has an algo that won’t allow this to happen anymore!
“These pranks are normally for phrases that are well off the beaten path, they haven’t been a very high priority for us. But over time, we’ve seen more people assume that they are Google’s opinion, or that Google has hand-coded the results for these Googlebombed queries. […]
So a few of us who work here got together and came up with an algorithm that minimizes the impact of many Googlebombs.”
Hope that won’t affect Globalwarming awareness2007

This feature has appeared without even introducing it from the official Google representatives.
If you seek, for instance, for “laptops” after the 10 top results you will see the next block:

Useful and interesting feature that requires rapt attention. If I’m not mistaken this feature appeared firstly in Live.com (when they did redesign of MSN Search) and many people began clicking on this related search instead of Sponsored Results
But Google (though being the last major SE that implemented this as well) places this related search at the very bottom in order not to mix it with natural search and AdWords ads.
But if we take the phrase “Globalwarming awareness2007” you won’t see any suggestions, at least yet

You positions have dropped much? You can’t figure out why this happened?
Just a small tip for you to differentiate a real penalty from just fluctuations that are very common nowadays, especially in the Update-time:
Imagine that your web-site sell toys of different kind. You have always been on top for the following phrase (just an example) “buy fluffy toys” - let’s say 5th place. And the second high-frequent keyword has been “buy fluffy toys cheap” - 2nd place. If suddenly you became 55th for “buy fluffy toys“, your other keyword should be something like 28th in Google as you definitely have more anchors like that, much density and overall the competition for such a key-phrase is absolutely different. Otherwise, if “buy fluffy toys cheap” became 52nd - welcome to the penalty world and get down to the web-site in order to find out why Google has “awarded” you
Just a tip that doesn’t carries a lot but may be of help to someone.
P.S. I just saw this happening to some Globalwarming awareness2007 participants

Globalwarming awareness2007 is going on and today I checked Google only to see the following:

Well, this IS great
The pages are arising in geometric series!
“Globalwarming awareness2007″ - why was this phrase formed in the way you see it? Why couldn’t it be in a normal way, like “global warming awareness 2007″ or even 2007 they could omit, don’t you think so?
But the idea (as I see it) is in the following: to promote just TWO words at the same time allowing derivatives to come out in the results and to look natural. I’m more than sure that the winner will be the one who WON’T come out in SERPs #1 exactly for “Globalwarming awareness2007″. Sure, even if we compare the results at the moment in Google and the ones that are already nominated on the official web-site of the seo-contest Seoworldchampionship.com - we can notice that they are practically different as the SEO-contest determines the positions according many factors - not just Big Google
AD:
After 70-272, professionals usually suggest that students should aim for 70-646 at least if not EX0-101. Those who cannot should work towards 642-446 series followed by 642-426 since today 642-426 is in demand in the market.
Normal keyword density, internal linking, inbound/outbound links, useful and relevant information and other factors is the always-winning-seo-strategy!
ToCompetitors: guys, please, let’s respect each other and other people as well. Follow just fair methods and do not insult each other as some already do though being in top10 just now
I wish you all great luck!

Ok, time has come to look deeper at what is happening with Google index. Frankly speaking, I did not want to dwell upon this issue – Google Update while it is still in progress but I can’t help revealing the outstanding thing to the wide public: Google has a Time machine and has started to use it as the moment
Of course, this is a joke!
But many a true word is spoken in jest.
Don’t you believe me? Fine! I’ll prove it now to you!
11:03 am GMT +2 time: I open Google and type in “cheap cell phones” and after a millisecond I get TOP10 results. Great! Just now I’m supposed to browse through all these web-sites listed on the first page in search of a new cell phone for my mother.
Google has always been proud of their “one hundred and more algos” that enable visitors search for relevant and fresh information. Let’s check it!
I will list here the list of the above mentioned web-sites in order to look at them just with an unaided eye (not from the view of professional SEO):
1) cellphones.about.com/od/topcellphones/tp/cheap_cell.htm
2) same domain (other inner page)
Due to high PR and old age of the domain this site rules the search! Not what I’m looking for but was interesting to read a person’s view on cheap cell phones.
3) www.cellphoneshop.net
Lacks snippet – just domain is listed in Google index.
Quite a relevant web-site but the phones are not cheap and I suspect the only thing this site is in top for – PageRank.
4) www.geeks.com/products_sc.asp?cat=210
5) same domain (other inner page)
PR0, headphones, USB card-readers, Bluetooth Headseats…. NO CHEAP CELL PHONES!
All in all, if I dig through other pages – I can find “cheap” cell phones
Good site, anyway!
6) popular.ebay.com/ns/Cell-Phones/Cheap+Cell+Phones.html
Ebay is the greatest online resource to find and buy relevant necessary items but the landing page is again weird – I’m looking for cheap sell phones and not for cheap cell accessories.
7) techbargains.com/catsearch.cfm/0_3_8
By and large, a relevant result (up-to-date) but again why cell phones coupons?
8) www.cellphones4cheap.com
May be it will be a sneer from my side but anyway look at this web-site yourself :-> This is called “modern” cell phones (oh! dated back to 2000 year!) Look at the pictures! Well, nothing against this web-site – it is informative, well-structured, well-designed (for the year 2000
At the same time one cannot but agree that this site is OLD! Completely OUTDATED! Relevant result? Huh, Google?
9) ezinearticles.com/?Cheap-Cell-Phones,-Mobile-Phone-Deals&id=74219
I have a feeling that I’m doing the wrong job – I’d rather be a copywriter and write articles and ezines for many web-sites that lack profound content and then submit them with 2 outbound links per article allowed. Why not? It’s a cushy job
Ezinearticles.com seems to be the only resource that collects informative materials. Meanwhile, guys, where is Wikipedia then?
10) jcsm.org/phoneads/free-cell-phones.html
An article “why cheap widgets are crap”
I do not care that some guy is thinking about cheap cell phones because he might already had bad experience – I do care about the normal, relevant, in this case - “cheap cell phones”.
AD:
After writing the actual tests of 640-802 and 70-649 with the help of testking material, students usually succeed to move on to 640-822 and then 640-863, again from testking curriculum.
Conclusions:
1) TOP-10 web-sites are VERY old sites, starting with 1996 (strong age-dependence);
2) Not 100% relevant information;
3) Snippet is formed on the basis of Meta-description;
4) Falling out of snippets;
5) Sponsored results became more relevant (as a consequence mostly);
6) Not the ghost of a chance for new web-sites.
What is the post-conclusion??
People, Google has recoiled its Index for 3, 4 or even more years ago! It’s clear as water: at those times snippet was based on meta-tags until web-masters started to abuse it. There are NO new and quality results in top-20! Google can turn back time!
Nice picture, isn’t it?
Ok, let’s get more serious: so, what has happened? Why Google is giving us this bunch of weird (the only appropriate word here) results? Is it beneficial to start AdWords campaign just now and collect unsatisfied with natural search results visitors?
To summarize, I can’t say anything in favour of this… SHAME ON YOU, GOOGLE! I still do hope that this is temporary. If it is not then Google will not stay “the Greatest G”. It is incredible but still – if you are seeking for necessary info – try Yahoo! or Live.com instead.
Sorry, Big G, but today you are a loser.
This post is to be continued…

Have your pages gone in ‘supplemental results’? Don’t worry! This is not the worse that can happen to your site. Having supplemental pages does not mean that they won’t be ranked anymore or lose their PageRank.
Earlier this issue guaranteed that your pages were penalized by Google for the most part for duplicate content or aggregated text from other web-sites or even for having implemented 302-redirect, abuse of java-scripts and other kind of “unjust seo-methods”. You were to fight this as soon as possible by suggesting really unique content, avoiding using scripts and so on.
Nowadays the situation has changed for the better. Having gone supplemental doesn’t show that you are playing with Google for the high rankings.
Now supplemental results must be nothing to be afraid of. Matt Cutts has declared that at the moment the PR of a web page determines if the page appears in the regular or supplemental results. Heh! PR still matters!
According to the most profound Google engineer:
“As a reminder, supplemental results aren’t something to be afraid of; I’ve got pages from my site in the supplemental results, for example. A complete software rewrite of the infrastructure for supplemental results launched in Summer o’ 2005, and the supplemental results continue to get fresher. Having urls in the supplemental results doesn’t mean that you have some sort of penalty at all; the main determinant of whether a url is in our main web index or in the supplemental index is PageRank. If you used to have pages in our main web index and now they’re in the supplemental results, a good hypothesis is that we might not be counting links to your pages with the same weight as we have in the past. The approach I’d recommend in that case is to use solid white-hat SEO to get high-quality links (e.g. editorially given by other sites on the basis of merit).
I think going forward, you’ll continue to see the supplemental results get even fresher, and website owners may see more traffic from their supplemental results pages.”
We are going to get traffic from the pages that are in the Supplemental Index? Great! But I can scarcely believe it at least just now

Gosh! That’s happed so quckly and unexpectedly that many people, who used their informative articles for driving more visitors to their web-sites placing outbound links, stayed shocked.
Eventually this was expected that such an authoritative resource as Wikipedia won’t allow using spam-black-techniques and other “playing with external links”.
The parameter “nofollow” won’t allow PR leaking to the linked web-sites anymore! That’s fair, indeed! All in all, what are we here for? PageRank-hunters? Definitely not!
Here people are discussing this new “feature” from Wikipedia to combat spam… They have even come to compromise
suggesting temporary “nofollow”.

The holiday for all seo-involved – a new SEO-contest has started by Seoworldchampionship.com. After just a few seconds practically all domains that contained “Globalwarming awareness2007” keyphrase were registered. Sure, it is easy to compete with other participants having the target keyword in the URL.
At the same time we all know that possessing the keywords in the address is just scantiness in comparison with other seo-factors. In order to prove this – http://www.nokeywordinurl.com – the blog of my friend who is a participant in the SEO Championship. He deliberately chose such a domain in order to claim that other SEO-activities can surpass the “nicely keyword-filled domains”. So, good luck to him – I support him here as a non-standard approach is always a pioneer in any field that eventually can turn out to be the best variant.
Contest-mania has lashed round many people in the world – Google shows more than 850000 results for “Globalwarming awareness2007”!!!
It is great that this contest is concerned with such a real international ecological issue as Global Warming. Having organized this game, Seoworldchampionship.com has drawn public attention to one of the main problem of humankind nowadays. Let’s hope that people, participants and mass-media will eventually come out with real suggestions and ideas how to fight this global issue more efficiently.
