I know that I must know that you all know what nofollow means
NOFOLLOW tag tells Google not to follow the links on a specific page
At the same time it’s high time to check again whether this parameter doesn’t work in ALL cases. I mean Google Webmaster Tools and its service to find out all kind of links: inbound and outbound ones.
I have looked through some of my projects’ details in WebTools when I stumbled upon an interesting thing - WebTools SHOW INBOUND LINKS THAT ARE TAGGED BY REL=”NOFOLLOW”! How on Earth can this be?!
I started to dig further and found a bunch of links that “recommend” my projects from web 2.0 social bookmarking networks! How should I interpret this fact? Are such links still crawlerable? Do the robots follow and reindex pages? Oh, the issue about PageRank is the most burning one, am I right?
Nevermind, we should wait for the next TBPR Update - PR will be out of question then. Nevertheless, am I the only one who have noticed this fact or not? Is it a bug? Or may be Webmaster Tools doesn’t … well, it is impossible. Google can not contradict itself. Should I ask M.Cutts directly?

Not so long ago I have mentioned this bookmarking service: http://www.stumbleupon.com
No need to enumerate all the features that this service has - all I want just now is to share the results for Globalwarming awareness2007 blog with you:
Do you believe me now that Stumble links exchange helps?
That’s it! So if you want really quality traffic to your web-site (especially if it has been recently developed and lacks backlinks) - do not neglect Social Bookmarking networks! They do really help

I have found out that since I started placing links to my blog with “Globalwarming awareness2007” anchor from all the pages of one site the situation has changed for the worse – I was penalized for acquiring a large number of incoming links for the very short period of time. To be frank, this can really be count as massive link-exchange with one “but”: I do not reciprocate! Besides, all the links can not be indexed at once: there should be time left for the robots to index all the pages and find my link there.
What’s going on? Does Yahoo! penalizes for site-wide links or just gives a period of time in order to make sure that these links are not bought? I’ll definitely try to find out this fact.

Google uses this filter at the moment - nobody even doubts it! Google applies this filter if suspects that webmasters use spammy techniques while doing search engine optimization. What can be these spammy techniques?
First of all, spammy SEO-techniques can be abuse of java-scripts especially in links-schemes (java-scripts redirects); doorway pages that just drive traffic to the web-site; keyword staffing and other blackhat seo schemes that can affect your website and your rankings can drop by 30 spots.
Massive links-collecting can also affect your rankings and you can also be caught under this -30 filter. Checked on myself
Too many identical links in a short period.
If the filter has been applied to your web-site - you still can improve your state! Reconsider the seo-strategy and find out the elements that can be seen spammy in SE’s eyes. If you have understood what could cause this filter and what needs to be done to improve your rankings - do it!!! Do not waste time hoping that “Google will start valuing my web-site at last”!
After you think you have done everything to qualify for the “top-placements” you can send a “reinclusion request” to Google.
P.S. The thing is that I’m not sure that some white seo-methods can not be ascribed to “spammy techniques” in Google eyes

I have noticed (to be frank, I have always been for this) that in some Search Engines the word order doesn’t matter completely! It doesn’t matter whether you search for “modern furniture” or “furniture modern“. Or if we take “globalwarming awareness2007” or “2007global warming awareness“. I swear - it doesn’t matter!
Just find out what Search Engine shows the same results
