Recently I have noticed a complete fall out of the pages tagged with “supplemental result” from Google Index… The time has come to eradicate the pages that are not “valued enough” by Big Google? Not sure, though.
At the same time for very particular terms when there are no other results than “pages with a low number of incoming links” they are still shown. However these results are not stable and are bouncing every 5 mins. What’s that? Another “tiny tuning of the Algo”?
Ad:
Getting into online marketing is easy but majority thinks that only email marketing is included in it where as actually the website hosting as well as the design needs to be promoted and the most popular method so far is email marketing or pay per click.
We’ll see…
Stay tuned!
P.S. Anyway, take a look here. Previous searches showed quite a number of ’supplemental results posts’.

Have you noticed that on some authoritative web-sites, long-established and highly-ranked ones that PR went to ZERO
But cheer up! Do not panic! This is natural - the very first (or preliminary?) stage of counting the new values. So we can say that PR Update is coming and will be very-very soon. Just relax and have fun.
P.S. Just an example: http://www.epam.com - PR0 a the moment. I know the SEO person responsible for search engine optimization of Epam Inc. He is not feeling well today.
At the same time if you do not believe me - remember the situation with MSN when after the PR Update it had ZERO?
Don’t panic! Everything is gonna be alright!
P.S.S. Hope that http://www.seoglobe.net will finally get its Long Green Value

Froogle has always been one of the best shopping centers like Amazon.com or Ebay.com. At the same time it was presented by the “Big Boss” Google and was absolutely FREE for the advertisers. Well, why am I talking about it as if it is out of business or passed away?! No way, dear!
It has turned into Google Base completely! More than a year they have co-existed simultaneously: the first one - allowing simple but “friendly” tags that were necessary to describe you products that had all chances to be seen by search-engine visitors; the second one - allowing for the enthusiasts to “play” with a large number of attributes in order to provide their visitors with a thorough description of the services and goods as well.
Not so long ago I have received a email from Google:
From: “Google Base Team”
To: me@me.com
Date: Wed, 31.01.2007 21:15:55
Subject: New product upload requirements
—————-Original text—————-
Hello,
As you know, we’re always looking for new ways to improve
our product search experience, both for our users and for
content providers. We’ve found that one of the most
effective ways to help users conduct faster and more
effective searches is to describe products with relevant
attributes – ideally those assigned by the people who best
understand their own products, meaning you.
That’s why we’re asking all Froogle merchants to send us
bulk uploads in the Google Base format, with five additional
attributes (along with the basic ones you’ve submitted in
the past). Because we think it’s important to provide a
consistent user experience, we will no longer list items
that don’t meet a minimal number of attributes by the end of
February 2007. Please review the following bulk uploads -
they do not currently meet the minimum attribute
requirement:
And then are following ALL my feeds
So, I have a big amount of work to do till the end of February,2007.
I have often been asked what are the “minimal attributes” that Google Base wants to see. There information about is really not easy to dig up from the Help section. That’s why I just enumerate here the list of minimal attributes that you should use in your feed:
- brand
- condition
- description
- expiration_date
- id
- image_link
- link
- price
- product_type
- title
Hope that will help you!

In order to determine a quantity of inbound links seo-people can use link: operator in the search field. Google has always been a search engine that updated this quantity (or better say made them visible) one time in three-four months and nowadays just quarterly. To define the real number of links that “recommend” you web-site you are probably using the same operator but in Yahoo! or MSN as these search engines update incoming links more often and accurate. Google even “defines” what links are strong and what is scam.
Nowadays, official Google has declared that link: operator is not the best way to determine the number of backlinks and claimed that webmasters should use their account in Webmaster Tools section that provides this service instead of a common link: operator:
“You asked, and we listened: We’ve extended our support for querying links to your site to much beyond the link: operator you might have used in the past. Now you can use webmaster tools to view a much larger sample of links to pages on your site that we found on the web. Unlike the link: operator, this data is much more comprehensive and can be classified, filtered, and downloaded. All you need to do is verify site ownership to see this information.”

Heh, Google is trying to promote its webmaster tools?
Anyway, good job! Another great step to help webmasters and se-optimizers! It’s high time for you to test this feature!

Googlebombing is known to everyone who is involved in SEO. Practically, this is just a spam-version of massive linking to one or another domain with a particular keyword in the anchor-text. Nothing special, huh?
Well, it could be just like “recommendation” of one site by others, but it is just from the first glance. Google has learned how to differentiate quality web-sites from real scam that links to your web-site with tons of links.
A nice example of this google-bombing is the following: the official home page of George Bush was the first result on Google for the search term “miserable failure” for many months.
Just like a massive flash-mob!
At the moment official Google claims that it has an algo that won’t allow this to happen anymore!
“These pranks are normally for phrases that are well off the beaten path, they haven’t been a very high priority for us. But over time, we’ve seen more people assume that they are Google’s opinion, or that Google has hand-coded the results for these Googlebombed queries. […]
So a few of us who work here got together and came up with an algorithm that minimizes the impact of many Googlebombs.”
Hope that won’t affect Globalwarming awareness2007

This feature has appeared without even introducing it from the official Google representatives.
If you seek, for instance, for “laptops” after the 10 top results you will see the next block:

Useful and interesting feature that requires rapt attention. If I’m not mistaken this feature appeared firstly in Live.com (when they did redesign of MSN Search) and many people began clicking on this related search instead of Sponsored Results
But Google (though being the last major SE that implemented this as well) places this related search at the very bottom in order not to mix it with natural search and AdWords ads.
But if we take the phrase “Globalwarming awareness2007” you won’t see any suggestions, at least yet
